Ivanka Trump is said to have plagiarized the work of Derek lam shoes design. Through the company’s license, he also said that the designer shoes that is not something that is iconic.

Ivanka Trump had to face lawsuits because the accusations have copied the design of Derek Lam shoes named ‘Ayami Wedge’. American desiner said that Ivanka Trump has blatantly copying his shoe designs.

In response, the licensee company Marc Fisher Footwear saying that, “the work of Derek Lam Sandal is one of the most popular type of design that has been used by many manufacturers for decades. The shoe is not something that is iconic.”

Marc Fisher Footwear also denied that Ivanka’s shoes wedges imitate every detail or totally plagiarized the work of Derek’s shoes, titled ‘Ayami Wedge’. They also explained, “There is no customers because the sandals are listed brand name ‘Ivanka Trump’, as quoted from Aceshowbiz.

On Wednesday (21/12/2011) and then, Derek has sent warning letters to companies Ivanka Trump Footwear and footwear licensee company Marc Fisher Footwear, to immediately stop selling and distributing these shoes Ivanka.

“We have seen shoes that are quite similar before, but we never see the shoes that actually copied. These are like an investment to make shoes, we have to protest this,” said Jan-Hendrik Schlottmann, CEO Derek Lam told WWD.
